Postmates - Food Delivery App Reviews

Pros: I have used Postmates 4 times and I didnt really have a bad experience. The drivers were really nice and friendly. They always brought the food I ordered without mistakes. Cons: Ok, delivery is SOOO expensive. I have to sometimes pay double the amount of the actual food price just for delivery. I have several Postmates accounts because I use a coupon code for each account. TBH thats the best option since its so expensive.

First off, Postmates does charge menu pricing. Postmate Couriers are supposed to give you an itemized receipt, just as if you had got it yourself from the restaurant. The app does indicate that prices may vary, notably on fast food places. So, you are forewarned, but check the receipt. You are simply charged the delivery fee, which varies based on distance and complexity, as well as time of day. There also is the service fee. Delivery charges and such are the norm. FWIW, Postmates really is designed in a way that you are just having a surrogate go in your place. Your basically hiring an assistant to do a chore of picking something up for you. For the most part, restaurants like it, because it does increase sales. Many restaurants are on all the platforms -- Postmates, DoorDash and GrubHub. There were some issues over DoorDash and those restaurants did get removed. All in all, this is the wave of the future. On-demand services are here to stay. Its all part of our society and cultural norm now. Postmates is a great app. Service is great and will only get better.

I love this app but I think they should have a option that you can pay in cash cause not everyone has a credit card.

Postmates is awesome as far as I’m concerned. For a premium price (yes, it can be expensive), they’ll deliver almost anything from almost anywhere. You can beer from Bevmo delivered in about an hour. That alone is enough for me. Plus, if you use promo code EVVX you can get $10 off your first delivery

Tried to order - always looks for post mates for a few minutes and then gives up. Tried multiple times but still no food. I thought this was "on demand" ?

I have used this app many times to order from our favorite restaurants. It is so fast and SO convenient. However, the last three times the person who placed the order completely screwed up. They left items off our order and another time charged me for an entree that was supposed to be a side item (which was how I placed the order). They apologize and make sure you werent charged for the items and offer you a $5 credit. Not sufficient if you have to place another order with a $9.50 delivery charge. This lead me to DOOR DASH. Their app has more options to clearly explain your order. Will still use postmates though. Maybe if users could call the restaurant to make sure the order was placed properly it would be helpful. Love/hate this service!

They had an issue with their app that caused them to pre-authorize charges to my card six times. They have no live person and only send emails when there is an issue. Horrible app, company and service. Please dont waste your time.

Ive been trying to submit an order for the past 45 minutes. Everyone is apparently "busy." This app is not only overpriced for their delivery, but extremely slow. Never using this app again.

So just had my first and last experience. I get prices are different I was expecting some price difference the estimated was $15 then it said $18.and change and I figured not to bad of an increase. it showed up and I was charged $40?! And my order was placed wrong and my kids wont eat it. I have photos of everything and I have a complaint in to customer service and Ill change this depending on how they handle it. Edit- they responded within 3 hours and were very friendly and understanding. I got a full refund and a credit for future business so I will give them another try. Ill review again at that time.

Ill give all 5 stars if delivered in my home area

I have ordered several times from POSTMATES and Ive encountered an array of problems from the food taking a very very long time to arrive to all the ordered items not being delivered. Today the icing on the cake was we placed an order after a hour of waiting (our estimated time was 35 minutes) we emailed postmates and received no response. After a hour and a half I received a cancellation email stating that my order had been canceled because they couldnt reach anyone in the restaurant. We were starving. Very poor customer service!

Post mates should be available in Maryland

Tried to order Starbucks to my office saw it done a few weeks ago from these folks, even then it took 1.5 hours to deliver Starbucks. This time though I couldnt even hail a "post mate" I could see them on the map ignore our order and wed get the "sorry no post mates available right now" being somewhat patient I continued to try again thinking maybe its just busy, for the next 3 hours I got the same message, deleting the app.

Its not even in my city!! You seriously need to specify the only 15 cities you have!
